My name is Saed
A. Tuffaha, my profession in few words lies in the
field of IT Consultancy, through my 10
years of experience with different areas of IT
ranging from Web site development to more robust
Enterprise
solutions.
I've been active in computers for the past 17 years,
I got my first computer back in 1988 a 750 XE from
Al-Alamiah
when I started my first lines of code in Basic (10,
20, 30) you know the drill!
I became a computer
enthusiastic from that minute, knowing what is Kbyte,
Byte, Bit and all computer anatomy really got me
going.
My interest in graphical design started
9 years before, in 1997. Good layouts, typography and good use of colors caught my eyes as soon as I came online, all though I was fond of drawing as a kid.
Photoshop version 3.0 (only 3 disks at that time) was my favorite graphic tool. I started doing graphic design for some brochures and news papers
I finished high school in 1993 in Saudi Arabia then I moved to continue my studies in Jordan and further-more increase my knowledge in what I love more (Technology), I entered as a freshmen at
Applied Science University –ASU- and I completed my first year with honor.
For family reasons I had to go and continue my studies in my home land which I didn’t know much about that time,
Palestine my origin and my birth land.
Nablus is the City, and Al-Najah National
University was my study ground, I continued my studies in the Electrical /Computer Engineer field and it was the most exciting
5 years in my life, I had to know what does it mean to be a Palestinian and
further more
I had the chance to work on my interest as a
Programmer / Graphical Designer, most of my work at that time was in (Visual
Basic, Ansi Fortran, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator –later on-)
Then the web came
-I recall in 1996 when I first heard the word
Web-. The real fun began I started doing HTML as part of the learning curve I had for my self, coding by hand,
By writing the code by hand, I feel I have much more control over the layout, structure and how it will be displayed in all the different browsers on the market.
FrontPage came, and the work started to get more exciting when I hosted
MY domain name www.tuffaha.com.
Part of our
curriculum in Electrical / Computer Engineering we
where involved on setting up networks, configuring
servers, and setting up privileges, and all sort of
Network Administration task, of course I loved it
due to the power I gained controlling everybody
machine in our IT lab :)
After I graduated from
An-Najah National University, I went back to Saudi Arabia where I
initially I spent most of my life and education.
The trip of becoming who I am
today started back in 1998 with a small company at that time,
Gulf Net Solutions Est.
We were 10 people at that time but with good efforts and big support from management we became who we are today a
Total Intranet/Internet Solution we provide a slogan that we stand for being the only company in Saudi Arabia that has developed 100+
Web sites and being a distributor and reseller of high end software’s.
Part of a contract
between GulfNet Solutions and Saudi Aramco Oil
Company I started
my next phase of professionalism when I joined
Saudi Aramco back in August 2000, and really
for me it was a different area, where my skills
started to peak though dealing with IT professionals
from across the world.
Understanding Saudi
Aramco IT Infrastructure and the Business they do
was yet an exciting effort, knowing more about the
Oil & Gas industry which made the company the #1
energy provider in the world, getting involved in projects
that directly interact with the businesses of Saudi
Aramco such as (Exploration & Producing, Medical,
HR, Employment, Contracting, Engineering,
Administration, and more...)
Today, my job at
Saudi Aramco involve R&D, Project Management, and IT Consultancy in
the field of Web Technologies and Integration Processes.
